OUR STORY

1st Generation Latino & Veteran

- Owned Farm

As a first generation Mexican American and a US Air Force Disabled Veteran, we decided we wanted to leave the status quo and go back to the land. After living in an RV while building our first home and dreams, we realized we couldn't finish our goals because we ran out of money. So we sold everything and started new and with a fresh start. Even though we are living in an RV again, we are being wise this time by using all of the lessons learned from the beginning of our journey. Instead of building our home first we began building our ranch instead. We are finally raising chicks, adopted our first flock of Icelandic and Navajo Churro sheep this recently past summer, and finishing our geothermal greenhouse.

ABOUT DRY BONES FARM

We are a permaculture ranch in the making. This year we are expanding our chicken flock, adopted our first four Icelandic sheep, and adding two more beehives. And the exciting thing is that we will be attending our the farmer's market this summer with our own farm produced products!

Are you local? Meet us at the Dolores Farmer's Market every Wednesday and Monticello every Friday afternoon! We will have tomatoes & squash plant starts, eggs, dehydrated fruits, greens, and honey late season (if everything turns out well).

CONSERVATION, FREE RANGE & FIBER

We strive to provide best arrangement for healthy and sustainable farm practices, while providing quality grazing and foraging for our chicks and sheep! Also, have LOTS of bee forage too!
